Ingredientes

  • 5-6 kg whole turkey
  • 200g butter
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 units lemon
  • 2 large onion
  • 3 medium carrot
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 500ml chicken broth

Método de Preparação

  1. Remove turkey from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C
  3. Pat turkey dry and season cavity with salt and pepper
  4. Mix softened butter with minced garlic and herbs
  5. Carefully separate skin from meat and spread butter mixture
  6. Stuff cavity with lemon and herbs
  7. Place vegetables in roasting pan
  8. Place turkey on top of vegetables
  9. Pour broth in pan
  10. Roast for 4 hours, basting every 30 minutes
  11. Rest for 30 minutes before carving
  1. Not recommended for whole turkey preparation

  5. Cook 8 min/100°C/speed 2

Dicas

  1. Brine turkey 24 hours before cooking for extra moisture
  2. Use meat thermometer to ensure internal temperature reaches 75°C
  3. Cover with foil if browning too quickly
  4. Calculate cooking time as 20 minutes per 500g plus 20 minutes
  5. Let turkey rest for proper juice redistribution
